We are delighted to confirm the appointment of The Revd Steve Hollinghurst who will be joining the team in Hereford Diocese. He will take up his role as Mission Enabler (Environment) in May This is a significant appointment for the team in the Diocese, which serves the Church of England in Herefordshire and South Shropshire.

A decision by Hereford's Diocesan Synod to disinvest in fossil fuels

At Saturday's meeting of the Diocesan Synod, the Diocese of Hereford made a firm commitment to disinvest in fossil fuel funds. Sam Pratley, Diocesan Secretary, said: "We wanted to make it clear that this is an ethical commitment rather than a primarily financial decision, and part of the Diocesan journey towards our stated goal of achieving carbon net-zero by 2030."
