I'm not quite sure how I ended up at the college I did at university.
Today marks the 100th weekly video message from The Bishop of Hereford, The Rt Revd Richard Jackson. The first message was recorded and broadcast to followers of the diocesan social media channels on 20 March 2020, just two years ago, right before the first lockdown across the UK.
The Diocese of Hereford has got behind a Church of England, West Midlands campaign, calling for churches to take a more sustainable approach to flower arranging and stop using floral foam (also known as oasis) in church flower displays.
The UK Government scheme requires every refugee to have a named host offering accommodation before being granted permission to enter the country. This means anyone wishing to offer a home needs to know people in Ukraine - this is a challenge
Our first Diocesan Synod meeting in 2022 took place last night at Craven Arms, and was the first 'in person' meeting since the Coronavirus Pandemic began.
Do you want to sponsor a Ukrainian individual or family and offer them a home? Like so many, I am deeply moved by the images and stories of suffering and pain of the Ukrainian people in this war and the millions of refugees who are trudging across Western Europe seeking asylum.
As we emerge from covid, churches across Hereford Diocese are seeing a resurgence in the growth of Messy Church congregations and a way for teenagers and pre-teens to engage in leadership opportunities.
A local Herefordshire church has found a way to help people live more sustainably, offering a food share and helping reduce local supermarkets' food waste in Hereford.
Attracting young people to engage and get involved with the church can be a big challenge.
