Welcome to the Finance section of our website.

The primary role of the Hereford Diocesan Board of Finance is to resource and support the spiritual and numerical growth of the Anglican Church across the Diocese of Hereford and beyond.

The Finance Team is responsible for financial strategy and management as well as the daily finance and treasury operations of the Diocese.

We receive parish contributions to the Common Fund that resource mission and ministry across the Diocese.  We pay clergy stipends and expenses each month, process statutory fee income, and handle staff payroll and expenses.  We have a policy of paying all our suppliers promptly.

The Finance Team prepares annual budgets and statutory accounts, and issues regular management accounts to ensure careful control and monitoring of spend and to inform decision-making by the Diocese's Boards, Councils and departments.

We're also here to provide advice, guidance and training to PCC treasurers and other parish officers, clergy and diocesan staff.
