Rev’d up and ready to go – Bishop Richard’s 24-7 Prayer Pilgrimage
As part of the 24/7 prayer movement’s Global Week of 24-7 Prayer, Bishop Richard is planning a week-long prayer pilgrimage around the diocese beginning on Monday, 7th September, visiting a list of churches each day, across several deaneries. Starting in Abbeydore deanery, Bishop Richard will also be visiting churches in Ludlow, Ross & Archenfield and Clun Forest deaneries. Each visit will be 20 – 30 minutes and the Bishop will bring a short order of service. He is looking forward to as many people as possible joining the prayer services. We wait to see whether he will be travelling between churches on his cherished Harley Davidson, as he has done for some previous diocesan rambles.
24-7 Prayer is an international, interdenominational, movement ‘uniquely positioned to equip the church to pray’. In Great Britain it serves all streams of church in our nations to go longer and deeper in prayer, in the belief that our prayers are powerful, and a praying church shapes both individual lives and culture. Internationally, the Global Week of 24-7 Prayer runs from 6–13 September 2026 and is an invitation for the global church to pray non-stop, sensing God’s invitation to unite together to lift up the name of Jesus.
