End date

Building a Vocational Culture is an interactive day in which we will explore how we can create a culture in which vocations are nurtured amongst all ages in our churches. We will look at what the bible says about calling, identify the vocational culture in our existing contexts, look at the barriers and opportunities and offer some practical tips on how to nurture vocation at the different stages of people’s lives.

Emma Sykes has spent six years in full time parish ministry at a busy city centre church and the last four years in multi role ministry as a self-supporting minister. She is a Leadership Specialist at CPAS with a particular focus on developing young vocations, and is part of the vocations team for Birmingham Diocese. She is passionate about motivating and enabling others to discover the God given purpose for their lives and is creator of ‘Talk Calling’ a resource to help start vocational conversations with young people.
