MAP training and events

MAP workshops, support and events

Special Diocesan Follow! Inspire! events in November 2016 to support your parish, benefice or deanery with all aspects of your MAPping grouped under the Diocesan Shared Priorities.

RSVP! It really helps with planning and catering to have an idea of how many are coming – but you are also very welcome just to turn up on the night – be green, bring a car full!

MAP workshops and training

You may find that the resources elsewhere on these pages give you what you need to help you get MAPping. But sometimes some support and an introductory or training workshop can help you get started.

We run a range of MAP workshops and training events including the following:

PCC or joint PCC evenings or mornings; Parish Away Days; Rural Deans and Lay Co Chairs; Deanery Synods; Bishop's Staff and Council; Chapters; Mission and Pastoral Committees; Diocesan Boards and Committees

If you would like to request a workshop, please contact Caroline Pascoe (Parish Development Officer), on 01584 871086 (Monday – Thursday mornings 9.30 – 12.30pm).

A network of MAP support for parishes, benefices and deaneries

It often helps to have someone from outside your parish/benefice/deanery to offer ideas, advice and encouragement as you think about or start MAPping.

We have a network of people across the diocese with experience of MAP there to help.

Contact Caroline Pascoe on 01584 871086 to talk about your plans and needs and we will work with you or put someone in touch with you locally.
