FUNDING

It
is clear that where we are working with others, we can attract funding for some
of the projects we want to be involved in. Recent examples are The Forbury Chapel,
in Leominster, the Drugs Conference to be held in October, a church run holiday
play scheme that has included a family fun day and attracted public funding on
the strength of the number of visitors it will draw into the town. Although there
are objections from some congregations about the use of lottery funding, there
are increasing examples of community projects, lead by the Church, applying for
Awards for All funding, and Heritage Lottery funding - after all, we are the keepers
of a significant part of the nations heritage. Every application involves learning
a new skill.
