The Resources for Mission Campaign is about the Stewardship - of Time, Talents and Giving - and is partly based on the First to the Lord report by the Archbishops' Council in 1999.

Without sufficient funds, the Church is unable to function effectively at any level; just as any business, society or club is unable to function efficiently if it is under-funded. However, that is not the only consideration of either Resources for Mission or First to the Lord, which was sub-titled "Funding the Church's Mission". We should approach our place in the Church of England today with 'thanksgiving for what is past' and 'faith for what is to come'.

We are challenged, under God, to have a vision for His purpose in and through our lives, our local Church, and for our nation. We are called to grow - in confidence, in commitment and in determination to find the funds to carry out God's work and, most importantly, to the building of His Kingdom in both the deepening of our faith and of seeking to serve others.

Our calling is to be the Church in the 21st Century

which is why we need 'Resources for Mission'.
