Roly Bain:

Wednesday: “Let us Play” a chance to play around with circus skills.

Thursday: “Storytelling”: ways of telling your story and the story

 

Richard Box:

Wednesday: Drawing for the terrified

Thursday: Drawing as devotion. No previous experience necessary

 

Norris Boyland: Telling the Christian Story to Children - The session will explore why we should tell the Christian story to children and look at various different methods of doing so.

 

Kevin Cecil: Story telling with music. You can bring something that you are working on, or start from scratch.

 

German Delegates: Our visitors will present some stories from the Lutheran church

 

Elaine Goddard : Godly Play. In Godly Play we discover for ourselves who God is, using a time of ‘wondering’ to allow the story to unfold towards us.

 

Sylvia Green: Sylvia has recently moved to Hereford from Ely Diocese and has experience in spiritual direction. She had offered to lead a workshop in spiritual accompaniment

 

Diana Hoare: Environment and Mysticism

 

Maggie Kingston : Rags to riches. Starting from hessian we weave our story using colour and texture to go beyond words. No experience needed, just a willingness to play

 

Anne Lanyon-Hogg: Liturgy with love - exploring balance and wholeness in weaving together the elements of worship.

 

Jill Lawson: Sharing the Story with Pen and paintbrush – Jill is an experienced and skilled artist and calligrapher. She will offer a workshop that explores the use of picture and text as another tool to share good news. Please bring your own paints, pens and brushes.

 

Peter Massey: Gospel Magic A workshop for beginners to conjuring to explore some truly 'magical' ideas for communicating the gospel of Jesus Christ with the excitement and wonder it deserves. Participants should leave with at least one idea for a conjuring trick to practice and use during a church service or special event.

 

Alistair McGrath: New Challenges to Faith: Responding to Recent Atheist Criticisms of Christianity” – This lecture will explore the issues raised by Richard Dawkins and Christopher Hitchins, and how we can respond in our ministries.

 

Norman Morris: Creative worship in small rural churches - and still keep BCP– using the natural seasons and the Church’s year to share the story through various acts of worship.

 

Kathy Priddis: Scribble the Story – using pastels to scribble in words or pictures to discover more of your own story with God and how to express it. Participants would

be expected to attend both workshops.

 

Nick Read: " The Countryside of the Future" What will our rural diocese be like in 2020? - a look at current trends and future prospects.
