If we are to love others, there is a cost involved. Doing things for the sake of others may be demanding – requiring patience, and sometimes self-sacrifice.

As we continue through Lent, we think of the cost that Jesus paid, of loving God, and those around him.

For him the cost was dying on a cross, which has become the symbol of God’s great love for us all.

When you find it costly to love, remember that you are in good company.
