Choirs and singers lined up to take part in a Massed Choir of protest outside Hereford Cathedral on 8th June 2013. It's all part of the IF campaign, a huge coalition of UK-based organisations including Concern Universal and the Church of England, who share the vision of a world where everyone has enough to eat. The choir event is all part of the national "Enough Food for Everyone IF" campaign.On the same day in London, thousands of campaigners from across the country gathered to urge G8 leaders to take action to tackle hunger.
The date was picked to coincide with the arrival in Northern Ireland of the leaders of the world's 8 richest nations. The following weekend on the eve of the G8 meeting, activists will gather in Belfast to keep the pressure of leaders. The Prime Minister is taking his turn at the Presidency of the group which is why campaigners are mobilising support.
The Diocese worked with Concern Universal locally for the Hereford Event. Passersby loved the performance.
