Council for Social Responsibility

This year, in order to save money, there will be no postal mailing from the Council of Social Responsibility.

However, it is possible to download the documents usually included with their mailing from the Social Action pages on the Diocesan website.

These include an invitation to this year's RoadPeace Service of Remembrance, information about this year's Drug Service in Hereford Cathedral and the latest edition of Scooter.

Smartwater

A feature on BBC Television was a timely reminder to all of us to consider the use of Smartwater as part of their security system to protect their church building.
Metal theft is a growing issue, driven by the rise in demand for the likes of lead, copper and titanium. In April 2008 church insurer, EIG, received nearly 350 lead theft claims, with the total bill for theft of metal from churches running at around £14m since the beginning of 2007.
Every Parish should have received a sample of this amazing product which dabbed on provides the equivalent of a DNA fingerprint for your items.
