When should you contact the Safeguarding Adviser?

If you have any concerns about any child or young person in the context of their participation in church life then these should be discussed with your parish Child Protection Representative or directly with the Bishop's Adviser. If you are unsure whether the situation warrants intervention please ring and discuss your concerns with Barbara. It is important that children are protected from harm whilst taking part in church activities and parents feel that children are safe in our church environments.

If you are newly appointed as the parish or benefice Child Protection Representative please contact Barbara and let her know who you are and how she can contact you.

How can I contact the Safeguarding Adviser?

Although Barbara is part time she works flexible hours and can be contacted by phone on 01989 730381 or 07760 228962. Please leave a message with a call back telephone number and an indication as to whether the call is urgent. Alternatively e-mail at b.gratton@hereford.anglican.org
