Belmont Abbey is a community of monks, founded in 1859, following the Rule of St Benedict.
Every year the Community welcomes a variety of groups and individuals to the Abbey for residential retreats and days of recollection.
A series of organized retreats are run through the year, on a variety of themes but individuals and groups are also welcome to use the abbey facilities.

At Black Venn an old wain shed and granary has been converted to provide a ground floor flat and a large open room above The Barn is available for clergy or others who need a retreat or a bolt-hole for days off, for families needing a break, or for Parish Groups looking for a simple venue for an Away day or a Confirmation Group etc.

There is no charge, but particularly in the winter months, a contribution towards heating costs may be appreciated. Otherwise, we have a small Charitable Trust, currently supporting HIV/AIDS work in Lesotho, and those who have enjoyed using the Barn may like to make a donation

No-one can visit Ffald-y-Brenin without being instantly impacted by its beauty and setting. The buildings are stone-built and blend in perfectly with the hillside, providing a variety of simple yet comfortable accommodation for groups, families and individuals.
The centre includes 34 Beds and some camping space. A common area, beehive chapel, meeting/prayer room and a smaller meeting/craft room. The Vestry is only 5 minutes away and seats up to 120

The Garden Chapel at the Bishop's Palace

The Bishop's Palace is on the banks of the River Wye in Hereford and has extensive gardens.
The ruins of St Catherine's Chapel have been restored as a quiet garden with benches and a new copperbeech altar.
Facilities available to be booked include the Great Hall, the Bishop's Private Chapel (if not in use), the garden and garden chapel.

Individuals or groups from within the Diocese of Hereford - free of charge,
although a donation towards maintenance would be welcomed from groups.

The garden is being developed as a garden for reflection, a quiet garden for use by individuals or small groups.

Only available during school term time.

Treago Castle Cottages have been carefully converted from the stables of the fifteenth century Treago Castle. This quiet, rural location in Herefordshire is an ideal spot for large or small groups to get together in self catering accommodation, yet it is within 9 miles of the M50.

They also offer the house to small parish groups (up to about 10/12) for quiet days using the drawing room for meetings. Contact for further information and to discuss arrangements for refreshments, lunches etc.
Special mid-week rates for church groups.

3 Self-Catering Cottages cater for up to 26 people (whole group can eat together in largest cottage).
