Leominster Deanery
Leominster Deanery is at the heart of the Diocese. In the north of the Deanery are villages in the Teme Valley and Mortimer Country. There are Black and White villages in the valley of the River Arrow and amongst the cider apple orchards in the south-west. A large part of the Deanery surrounds the historic market town of Leominster in the Lugg Valley.
There are five clusters within the Team area:
The Priory
Monkland, Dilwyn & Stretford, Croft with Yarpole & Lucton
Orleton with Brimfield, Eye, Eyton, Ivington
Kimbolton with Hamnish, Middleton-on-the-Hill, Bockleton with Leysters, Docklow
Puddleston-cum-Whyle, Hatfield, Stoke Prior & Ford, Humber, Hope-under-Dinmore
| |  | VISION STATEMENT |
Our aim is for the Deanery to work as a unit using the gifts of all members to build yup the Kingdom of God here. We believe that only by working together can the individual parishes be safeguarded and nurtured.
We aim to reach out to those around us in our communities with the Good News of Christ, that they might, through the work and ministry of the Holy Spirit, be brought into a living and active faith in Jesus; in doing this, and through prayer and fellowship with one another, our faith and understanding of God will be strengthened and our spiritual life renewed, including our Christian witness and discipleship.We aim to do this by "Being here"
- Being here to proclaim the Gospel in our daily lives and to encourage all ages to follow Christ;
- Being here to give pastoral care and service to the people of our parishes, to share in their joys and sorrows;
- Being here to build up both traditional and new ways of being Church;
- Being here to pray, support and encourage God's mission nationally and internationally.
We aim to be outward looking - our link with Tengeru in Tanzania keeps us aware of the needs of the wider Church, of the needs of our environment and of our need of each other.
