Kington & Weobley Deanery

The K&W Deanery consists of five benefices as follows:-

  • Eardisley - Rev Marcus Small
  • Kington - Rev Neil Weston
  • Arrow Vale Group of Parishes - Rev Julie Read
  • Weobley - Rev Bob King
  • Presteigne - Preb Stephen Hollinghurst

There are 27 parishes in all, spread amongst the five benefices.

The Deanery Synod meets three or four times each year, and normally receives a presentation of general interest followed by a business session of Deanery matters.

The Rural Dean is Preb. Stephen Hollinghurst, of The Rectory, Presteigne, Powys LD8 2BP (01544 267777).

The Deanery Lay Chair is Mr Dennis Turner, of Lower Barewood Barn, Lower Barewood, Pembridge, Leominster HR6 9ED (01544 388925).

The Deanery Secretary is Mrs Ethel Joyce, of Nicholas House, Winforton, Hereford HR3 6EA (01544 327771).

The Deanery Treasurer is Mr Chris Smith of The Old Vicarage, Lyonshall, Kington, HR5 3LN (01544 340598).

The Next meeting is on Wednesday 10th February 2010 in Presteigne.
