SCTG Shropshire Churches Tourism Group

The Shropshire Churches Tourism Group is a new and dynamic groupand a fully constituted group

Membership

Every Church in the County, especially those that are aware of visitors and tourist in their buildings, is encouraged to become a member. The next 2 year membership will be for 2012/2013 with payment due in autumn of 2011 to ensure inclusion in the next brochure. The new membership rate will be sent to parishes after September 2011. It is simple to join. Just complete the Application form and send it with a cheque made payable to SCTG to Lorna Taylor, the Membership Secretary. The instructions are on the form.

You will also need to complete the brochure form (part of the application form) and send that back with a picture if you choose. It would help if this was done electronically to keep the work manageable. (It does not preclude you if you send back a downloaded form by post). If you wish to include a picture please ensure this is a High Resolution copy, 300 pixels/inch. This is necessary for high quality reproduction, which the brochure is.

Other Plans

A website, to support the brochure and the members, is being worked on and it is hoped will be in place by Summer 2011.
Training and information days will be assessed after consultation with members.
A Constitution for the Group was agreed at the Annual General Meeting in March 2011.
To create a good network of people in our churches to make all our visitors welcome.

Please encourage others to join too. Spread the news of this new pro-active and practical support group for all Churches.

Do not hesitate to contact me if you need to.
