Council for World Partnership & Development

The Council's remit is to foster and encourage an interest in the church in other countries throughout the diocese, co-ordinating and disseminating information and working in partnerships with the established missionary societies.

The diocesan link with 4 dioceses in Tanzania is promoted by the Tanzania Committee.

Diocesan links with European countries are fostered through the Nurenberg Committee

The Council's members are appointed by Bishop's Council, to which it reports. Members serve for a renewable term of 3 years.

World Development Adviser

The World Development and Partnership Adviser is responsible for encouraging awareness of development issues in the Diocese, facilitating activities to respond to those needs and for liaising with institutions, organisations, groups and individuals to support development projects overseas.
