A ROUND TABLE DISCUSSION
A sustainable food supply in a sustainable environment?
10.00 a.m. - 2.00 p.m. Friday 25th May 2012
The Ludlow Mascall Centre
Lower Galdeford, Ludlow, Shropshire SY8 1RZ

For the last few years the Council for World Partnership and Development has been promoting food, farming and environment, and their significance within community development,
Food supply, food security, health, education, local business development, how we care about our environment - these concerns affect us all. Decisions taken now, about these same issues, will have an impact not just on us but also on our children, and in turn on their children.
This round table discussion brings together our Tanzanian partners, members of our Diocesan Forward to Eden Group and other people committed to sustainable farming within a sustainable environment.
Our agenda is simple. What are our priorities for our food supply and food production? What priority do we give to safeguarding our environment? What are the main issues facing us now in 2012? What do we think will be the main issues facing us in the future? How can we best work together to bring about sustainable communities?
Our Round Table will provide an opportunity for us to share and compare experiences and to find ways of working in partnership together, both here and in Tanzania.
Programme:
10.00 a.m. Reception and coffee
12.30 p.m. Lunch
2.00 p.m. Visit to the fruit and plant market in Ludlow.
We look forward to seeing you.
