CHURCHES IN HEREFORD DIOCESE ACTION TEAM - CHAT

CHAT was formed three years ago as a response to the credit crunch and recession. It is an ecumenical group which includes Anglican, Baptist, Roman Catholic and Methodist Church representatives as well as leaders from the Salvation Army, the Elim Church, the Christian Life Centre and other denominations from across Herefordshire.

Although it was formed with the initial remit of looking at hunger and homelessness across Hereford City it is continuing to meet regularly and is ready to tackle any issues which threaten to marginalise or discriminate against the most vulnerable members of society.

Hot food is available for the hungry and homeless at different churches in Hereford, so there is food available every day of the week! If you need help, or know someone who might like to visit one of the churches, then make the most of the CHAT hot food provision.

FOOD BANKS AND COMMUNITY LARDERS

A network of Community Larders is developing across Herefordshire. We constantly need donations of tins and cash! We always need tins of potatoes, tins of meat, rice pudding and custard so why not have a basket at the back of your Church or Office and collect tins of food week by week? We can collect!

Emergency Food Parcels are provided to caseworkers for families and individuals in urgent need.
