Walk of witness - Good Friday 10.30am Hereford

The Good Friday Walk of Witness is once again being arranged by Churches Together in Hereford and will take place at 10.30am on Good Friday. NB different start time to previous year. Everyone is most welcome, regardless of denomination or church so let's support this venture if we are able to be in Hereford on the day.

Passion Play -Good Friday 11am, Leominster

For those of us privileged enough to own a car and to be able to drive it, this is a real treat. The Passion Play only happens every four years, it is undertaken by an army of volunteers in various roles, and takes place outdoors. Huge amounts of planning and hard work go into making it a success, and as with most such ventures, it is always the same faithful few whose hard work turns the dream into a reality. Although we cannot get to everything and some events are inevitably going to clash, do consider supporting the noble Christians of Leominster by attending this if you possibly can.

Toilet Twinning

This is a novel and simple way for Churches Together groups and other Christian organisations to get involved in the fight against poverty and injustice - this time paying particular attention to the lack of sanitary toilet facilities in poor areas, leading to disease and danger. For £60, you can "twin" your toilet with one in a poor part of the world, in effect sponsoring better toilet facilities for that community. A certificate is provided for you to hang in your toilet explaining what has happened. CT groups, individual churches or groups of churches may wish to approach local councils, hotels and businesses with the offer to twin their toilet. People using that toilet would be able to see that it had been twinned by Christians, thus bearing simple witness to our desire to help change the world.
