A guide to the WEBSITE
The latest website www.hereford.anglican.org has been up and running for a couple of years now. We have had many good comments about the site; it is easy to move around it and quite fast. It is divided into 3 sections, aimed at the 3 audiences identified through consultation. They are:
VISITORS - This is aimed at people with no particular connection to the churches in the Diocese of Hereford and who visit the site for lots of different reasons, so it covers lots of different areas as well as those encouraging them to visit our beautiful churches:

It tells them lots about what is going on in the Diocese; it tells them about the different areas of work covered by the Diocese; it has a Noticeboard that means latest information is put there instantly and is available to everyone at the click of a mouse. It has an area for parishes all about welcoming visitors. You may recognise some of the areas covered but others may be new to you:

OTHER FEATURES - There other things that you can find on the website: Special current events/scheme/etc are given prominence on the front page.
Search Box You can type what you want to find in this box on the front or Home page and hopefully it will take you the information you want
Find A Church This enables anyone looking for church to find it through several different ways. Hopefully it will take them to the one they want and they will find up to date information.
Parish pages Each church in the diocese has a parish page. At the very least it will have contact details for the vicar (or other designated person). It should also have a list of services over 5 weeks which parishes should keep up to date. Special Services can be inserted into the table; a short piece about the church can also be added; events and fundraisers can also feature here. It can also have a link to the parish's own website.
Something to Think About There is a short item on the front page which different people around the Diocese take turns at writing. It is something religious that will make you think!
Latest News This is a list of the news items from the Diocese that are sent to Newspapers, TV and radio and occasionally magazines or other websites. If you click on one it will open to give you the full story and will give you access to ones sent out in the last few months.
